Flybox Gel-Core Midas Fritz is a highly technical, game-changing fly-tying material that takes Flybox’s legendary Gel-Core technology and injects it with a premium, dual-tone metallic flash. The "Midas" range blends standard fluorescent or translucent body fibres with Midas Gold Metallic fibres, creating a rich, multi-dimensional shimmer that replicates natural insect iridescence or provides a striking attractor point on the retrieve.
The defining feature of this fritz is the Gel-Core binding. Traditional chenille's and fritzes are built on thread cores that can shed fibres when cut or suffer from fibre "spinning" on the hook shank. Flybox resolves this by treating the core with a specialised thermo-gel compound. This chemically locks every single fibre into the central thread, meaning zero fibre loss during tying and an incredibly strong, bite-resistant fly on the water.
