Handmade in Scotland, the FastNet Competition River Net is a lightweight, high-mobility wading net made specifically for competitive river fly anglers and roving trout fishermen. Designed to meet the strict demands of international river competitions where quick landing, minimal drag, and fish-friendly handling are essential, this net delivers extreme strength without weighing down your wading vest.

The rim is constructed from FastNet's proprietary age-hardened and tempered diamond aluminium alloy. This specialised heat-treatment process accelerates the aluminium's natural aging curve to achieve an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, ensuring the frame maintains its shape when netting fish in fast currents without flexing under load.

The yoke block is custom-moulded from a high-impact nylon-glass toughened resin composite. This advanced composite provides maximum durability, eliminates joint failure points, and features a smooth, snag-free contour to prevent thin competition tippets from wrapping or catching.

Engineered for quick, one-handed deployment while wading, the net features an ergonomic low-profile handle paired with a secure attachment point for a lanyard or magnetic net release.
The bag is fitted with a soft, knotless synthetic mesh. The knotless material preserves the fish’s natural slime layer and scale coating.
