Handcrafted in Scotland, the FastNet 17" Scoop Wading Net is a premium, lightweight landing net built to meet the demands of river and stream game anglers. Combining precise engineering with high-grade materials, it offers an optimal balance of strength, mobility, and fish-friendly handling for wading trout, grayling, and sea trout fishermen.
The hoop is constructed from age-hardened and tempered diamond-section aluminium alloy. This specialised metal treatment accelerates the alloy's natural hardening process to achieve maximum structural integrity while eliminating unnecessary weight. The unique diamond profile reinforces high-stress zones along the rim to prevent bending under load.
At the base of the frame, the yoke is moulded from a high-grade nylon-glass toughened resin composite. Engineered to be far tougher and more resilient than standard plastics, this composite connection block eliminates weak failure points and features a smooth, snag-free contour to prevent fly lines from catching during casting or landing.
Fitted with a soft, knotless synthetic mesh, the net drains rapidly. This knotless construction preserves the fish's natural slime coating during catch-and-release.
