This reel has been designed with four ball bearings for a completely smooth operation season after season, helping also to reduce the friction creating an incredibly smooth wind. Using a five point support frame design Daiwa have been able to increase the durability and toughness of this reel which allows it to stand up to the harshest saltwater conditions without losing out on performance.

The spool is made from a graphite material which is much stronger, lighter and more corrosion resistant than other spool materials. This is excellent for keeping this reel looking and performing its best even after long term use. This reel uses a super smooth, multi washer drag system which helps to keep the reel performing smoothly under pressure. This makes fighting fish or lifting tackle out of snags incredibly easy for any angler. This reel also features a counterbalanced handle, this handle has been designed to increase the leverage of the reel even under immense strain. This makes it much easier to keep fish under control whilst fighting them.

These reels have an easily adjustable star drag design that means you can quickly increase or decrease the drag at a moment's notice by turning the drag knob. They also feature an easy to use spool release lever that can be flicked on or off at a moments notice, this is great for deep sea fishing as it allows you to drop your baits/lures back down quickly.
