Description / Daiwa Powermesh Deadbait
The Daiwa Powermesh Deadbait rod is one of Daiwa's most iconic pike rods. Well sought after on the UK pike scene, Daiwa have refined a classic!
This rod is built on a premium grade carbon blank with 1K woven carbon which enhances the rod blanks strength and maximises it's durability, allowing it to handle the rigours of pike fishing. The rod is fitted with tough stainless steel frame guides with lightweight LS ceramic rings which helps your mainline run smoothly through the rod rings while keeping the weight of the rod down slightly.
The full cork handle provides comfort when holding and there is also a high quality Fuji DPS reel seat with a woven carbon butt frame. The finish is in a sleek black colour for stealthy approaches and low profile setups.
The rod is available in a 12ft length and in a 3lb or 3.5lb test curve. The 3lb model is a great general purpose piking rod, however if you need to cast those baits to the horizon, cast big baits or even fish at distance via a bait boat, then we would recommend using the 3.5 test curve model. Both rods come with plenty backbone to bully the biggest of fish and both models come with a progressive action to avoid hook pulls at close quarters.
We recommend using reels between a 6000 - 10000 size on the 3lb test models and big pit reels on the 3.5 test curve model to fully maximise the casting potential of these rods and providing a balanced outfit.
The Daiwa Powermesh Deadbait rods have a 2 piece construction and are supplied with a padded rod sleeve. You can select your choice of model from our drop down menu.
