The Daiwa Black Widow Dropshot Rod 7' 1-9g is a two-piece ultralight spinning rod made for drop-shotting, micro-jigging, and finesse lure tactics. Built on a slim HMC+ carbon blank, the rod has an overall weight of 110 grams and collapses down to a closed transport length of 111 cm. The blank features a mottled water-pattern finish on the handle section that transitions into a non-reflective matte finish on the tip section.

The rod uses a spliced solid carbon tip with an Ultra Light Solid (ULS) rating for casting weights between 1 g and 9 g. This flexible tip section yields under slight tension to register subtle bites without giving fish resistance on the bait, while the carbon mid-section provides structural rigidity for setting fine-wire hooks.

Equipped with stainless steel guide frames and Zirconia ceramic inserts, the guide layout reduces line friction and grooving when using fine braided lines or low-diameter monofilament.
