This boat seat has been one of the most anticipated products of 2010. Angling Active received more enquiries about this than almost any other new product.
The original Comfort-Zone Boat Seat was regarded as one of the best seats available. Airflo have taken the proven design and listened to their customers suggestions. The seat has had a complete redesign and now has a telescopic frame rather than the previous folding design, making the seat easier to assemble in situ. In fact the seat can be ready to go within seconds with practice making this one of the easiest seats to use. The seat extends to fit a boats gunnel or internal wooden bench seating with a maximum width of 158cm, so it will fit most boats with ease.
When its time to head home after a long days fishing the seat folds down quickly and stores away within it’s supplied carry bag.
The folded unit is less that 3ft long so it should fit in most car boots with ease, the price includes a free carry case for safe, quick storage and transportation to and from the boat.
The Aluminium frame is not only very light, weighing in at under 10kg but also super strong. Regardless of how heavy the load or rough the conditions get!
Good Bit Kit, Review by theunfamousfly
Pleased with this seat, folds up small enough to transport easily, and comfortable to sit in all day and makes boat fishing a lot easier with a nice high vantage point for casting but support for your back. Less of a finger trap hazard when setting up than the standard seat I would say.
Couple of minor negatives.
The front tray in particular was very hard to pull out when I first got it, in fact I just about broke my nose trying to extend it even with the adjuster bolts fully loosened off . iT took a lot of force to free and then shot out like a rocket! There is quite a bit friction between the front tray slide and the main frame. its Ok now but can be stiff to slide.
The adjuster bolts can be tricky to access if its set at a width where they are under the seat- but thats a very minor point.
The tray could do with a recess or holder for bottles or cans - I guess you could use a stick on car type cup holder.
Would be good if the back pad was adjustable for height- Its absolutely fine for me ( average height) but would imagine some users would like to lower, raise it a wee bit. (Posted on 20/04/2012)
