Shimano Vanquish

The Shimano Vanquish is the new flagship model of Shimano’s Magnumlite series. The Magnumlite series is famous for being incredibly light in weight and having a super light rotation, these reels incorporate some of Shimano's leading technologies to produce one of the best fixed spools spinning reels on the market today!

Featuring HAGANE design, this reel design is built to last even in the most extreme conditions. HAGANE is an innovation with built-in toughness and durability that works alongside Shimano’s precision engineering. HAGANE is great for all anglers giving your reels longevity and the strength you need when fighting a big fish even after multiple seasons worth of use.

These reels also feature Micromodule II, which has evolved as Shimano has progressed and features a state of the art gear tooth surface design. The drive and pinion gear surfaces are carefully analysed and updated from the ground up to help perfect the smooth gear feeling whilst reducing the sound. These reels also feature X Ship technology which helps to improve the gear durability by supporting the pinion gear on both ends with bearings. This increased support allows the gears to stay in the same position under the heaviest loads. X-ship technology also eliminates the friction between the spool shaft and gear to produce you an incredibly smooth reel.

Each of these reels have a metal HAGANE body which has high rigidity and impact resistance which virtually eliminates the body of the reel flexing whilst fighting a fish, this transforms your actions when reeling directly into cranking power making fighting those specimen fish easier. Using Silentdrive technology Shimano have been able to provide the smoothest and quietest reel rotation possible.

As part of Shimano’s Magnumlite series, this reel features the Magnumlite rotor which produces unprecedented light and sensitive rotations. The profile of this rotor has been changed from symmetrical to asymmetrical to allow for even smoother performance. As well as this the bail arm mechanism has been moved to the opposite side to further optimise the performance of this reel. Made from strong titanium the bail on this reel is built to last and the rotor wall thickness has been adjusted to successfully reduce rotational inertia. This helps your reel to continue performing smoothly no matter the conditions, and also helps to prevent wind knots.

A staple in all high end Shimano reels, this reel features X protect which provides a high level of water resistance protecting the bearing of the drive gear shaft. The G free body technology has allowed Shimano to shift the reels centre of gravity closer to the rod which helps to reduce casting fatigue and helps to keep you fishing for longer.

The innovative AR-C spool has a specific shape that creates a rectifying effect on the line that helps to reduce slack on your line and improve casting distance. These spools also feature Shimano's iconic long stroke design which has a longer length spool compared to a conventional fixed spool reel. This unique spool design helps reduce friction as your line is leaving the spool and helps you make longer and more accurate casts.

These reels feature a CI4+ frame which is lighter an higher in strength than conventional resin materials, CI4+ is an advanced version of the original CI4 material, with improved rigidity and durability this helps to contribute to Shimano’s reels lasting longer and longer! Because CI4+ is so light it makes these reels perfect for ultralight or finesse style fishing.

These reels also feature rigid support drag, by strengthening the spool support of the main shaft, the play and fluctuations of the spool during drag operations is greatly reduced. This allows for a much smoother and consistent drag delivery. Finished up with S A-RB bearings which have been put through the same process as Shimano’s ARB bearings but feature shields on both sides of the bearings. This reduces the possibility of sand or salt inhibiting the rotation of the bearings allowing you to fish in either fresh or salt water without worry.

The Shimano Vanquish is available in a range of sizes for you to choose from, comes in a sliver/blue colour scheme and does not come with a spare spool.
