The Shimano Tyrnos is the ultimate saltwater multiplier with a powerhouse of a drag system capable of taming the most powerful fish you may encounter!

Designed with Shimano’s Hagane body technology which is produced from high grade aluminium and magnesium, creating an incredibly tough stiff impact resistant body. This results in a rock solid housing and support for the moving internal gearing offering greater efficiency throughout the reel.

Fitted with ARB bearings for longterm rotation performance, this is achieved by a unique anti corrosion coating preventing any form of corrosion which can cause reduction in the reel performance over time.

With the use of special protection gaskets to prevent the intrusion of water for more consistent drag performance. The lever drag system is ideal for quickly adjusting tension required when setting a hook or slowing fish on long powerful runs.

When loaded with ultra-fine braided lines such as Powerpro these reels can be optimised for all areas of sea fishing. The smaller models have become the go to for species such as cod, ling and and Pollock.

The 30 size model has become the picture perfect British shark anglers reel and can handle with ease large wreck conger, giant skate and deep off shore sharks due to its incredible stopping power!
