Although the drag and internals are not saltwater proof, the graphite body on the Beta Heavy Spin makes them a favorite for anglers looking for a low cost, disposable alternative to a proper saltwater proof sea reel.

The Shakespeare Beta Heavy Spin FD reels are good quality reels that are excellent for entry level fishing and these reels are available in three sizes which are 50FD, 60FD and 70FD.
