Great Rod at a Great Price

The Shakespeare Agility 4-piece fly rod is an amazing fly rod for the money, both in terms of performance and finish. I particularly like the matt finish, but more importantly I just love the way the rod performs. I use this rod for boat fishing on the Irish Loughs and it gives me everything I need from a fly rod. It's a bargain.

Just purchased this Shakespeare rod - was a bit dubious because of the purchase price but it is an excellent buy and every bit as capable as more expensive rods.
This is now my third Agility Fly Rod and I can highly recommend as being good quality and excellent value for money.

I have not used the rod in earnest yet. I have tried it in the paddock and it casts a very good line with little effort. Considering its low price it is a excellent product which I would recommend.

Build quality, finish and action are all outstanding. Hard to believe a rod of this quality is so inexpensive. I got a 10 foot 6 weight three months ago and was really impressed with it, so much so that I recently got a 10 foot 8 weight.
If you buy one of these as a "back up" rod you'll probably find that it will become your "go to" rod very quickly.
Can't recommend them enough.

I'm genuinely surprised it's that price

The build quality, overall feel and looks of this rod are amazing for the price. From the Matt finish to the reel holder just oozes quality for a "low price" rod. I took it out the other day and with a 6 sink line on felt great. Very light and easy to use. Plus I caught 6 fish. :-) a couple of which did not want to be landed and the rod just felt like it had so much in it. GREAT PRODUCT for the price. It's actually the first time I've felt like writing a review.

I originally bought this rod as a back up rod for wild hill loch fishing. After trying it out it has become my go to rod. A very nice action, pleasantly surprised considering the price.

For sometime now I have been looking for a 11' fly rod to take on holiday to fish for manly seatrout from a boat on the lochs of north and south uist. I didnt want spend silly money on a rod that was only going to be used a couple weeks in a year so I studied most 11' foot rods on web and every time the Shakespeare agility caught my eye both in looks and value for money. Having now received my rod from angling active I am even more surprised at quality finish and great action of this rod and would recommend this rod to any one .

I have bought 3 of these rods in the last 12 months, one for myself and two for a brother and his friend. We are all serious trout fishermen.
The rod is perfect of the lake or river. The action is smooth and refined, allowing you to put the fly out at great distance.
Don't go mad spending hundreds of pounds or Euro's, this rod is perfect.
