Sage MOD Fly Rod

Abbreviated for “Moderate", the Sage MOD is a thoughtfully crafted high performance fly rod. The MOD has a contemporary moderate action, and is optimised for distances and scenarios most often encountered by the trout angler.

The MOD includes Sage’s proprietary Konnetic Technology which is a carbon resin composite that utilises advanced modulus positioning. This gives the rod a slimmer blank, enhanced strength and more efficient energy transfer along the length of the shaft. The optimised hoop to axial fibre positioning also helps to reduce the blank weight and enhance cross-sectional strength and performance.

The focused energy transfer creates greater connectivity with less effort and helps achieve greater distances when fishing. The moderate action offers a great level of flex and the rod is fitted throughout with Fuji ceramic stripper guides and hard chromed snake guides and tip-top.

The up locking reel seat has a stunning zebra wood insert with a gloss black anodised aluminium finish and the handle is a super plus snub-nose, half-wells cork handle. The blank is an attractive Jade green colour and there are yellow-green thread wraps with black trim wraps.

The Sage MOD is available in a range of sizes for you to choose from and each one is supplied in a cloth bag and in a black powder coated aluminium rod tube with the Sage medallion.
