Description / RIO AFS Outbound Spey Fly Line
AFS™ Outbound Integrated Shooting Head
This line has a similar taper design to the AFS shooting head but the body continues seamlessly into a thin shooting line of 0.030" diameter. It is ideal for those that don’t want a connection between the head and the shooting line.
Now available in two versions floating and the new Fast Intermediate.
The Fast Intermediate clear head has a sink rate of 1.75" - 2.0" per second, while the integrated running line floats, both for easier handling / casting and to benefit from RIO XS Technology for longer, smoother casting.
A welded loop is fitted to the front end for easy leader changes. For best performance use with RIO Salmon Versileaders or Tapered Salmon Leaders.

5 Smooth and fast line
Review by Sospan
Fishing the South Esk my old lines worked well. When I fished the Tay , I just could not get that extra push to get the additional 10-15m I needed to cover the hot spots. The Rio AFS gave me the extra loading and speed to cover the extra distance . Looking forward to next year.

5 Great line
Review by Neil
Really good service and quick delivery. The AFS outbound is a great fly line especially for small to medium sized rivers where you need to strip the fly back. There is no loop to loop connection to come through the rod rings which can be a bit annoying with normal shooting head lines

5 Great line, improve your casting instantly !
Review by Crawford
I bought the Rio OutBound Float 10/11 a few days ago at Angling Active and have used it now for a total of 8 hours.
It didn't take long to find the "sweet spot". Once I found it, "WOW !" Realised why it's called a shooting head !
It added quite a bit of distance to my casts effortlessly .
It's not a cheap line in any sense of the word, but I reckon it's worth every penny.
If you're just learning Spey Casting, or have been working on it for a while like me, this line opens a new door to you.
It works beautifully for : Roll, Single Spey, Double Spey, snake Roll and Snap T casts.
The weight in the head of the line is also very helpful in windy conditions.
Buy it and ENJOY ,
