Description / Rapala Maxrap Walk n Roll
The Rapala Maxrap Walk n Roll is one of the most versatile topwater lures that every angler should have in their lure box. These lures are great for enticing predators in all water conditions imitating a fleeing baitfish making them a great choice for predatory species like pike or sea bass.
This is the latest innovation from Rapala, it is a “do-all” top water lure. It is able to spit, bob, skitter and slide across the surface of the water in all conditions. In the hands of the right angler these lures are able to entice fish on any day, allowing you to switch your fishing method without changing lures! This is perfect for targeting species like sea bass allowing you to quickly get a reaction out of fish that are in front of you.
Developed in partnership with pro anglers fishing in the Atlantic, these lures have been weighted to maximise casting distance, improve stability in bad weather conditions, and allowing you to accurately cast at incredible distances making these lures ideal for both on and off shore fishing. Primarily built for saltwater fishing these lures are also incredibly effective when targeting pike in freshwater.
These lures offer a number of different retrieve options, with a steady retrieve creating a side to side roll and causing the cupped face to kick up a spit of water each time it digs into the surface. A twitch and pause retrieve can be used to give you a great walk the dog action or you can make this more subtle by adding longer pauses. If fish are being aggressive, using a fast crank will cause this lure to skit across the surface like a fleeing baitfish resulting in some incredible blow-ups!
Finished with ultra-sharp VMC 7554 2X-Strong Ti coated inline treble hooks which will hold up against fish of all shapes and sizes.
