Nature's Spirit Squirrel Skin

The Nature's Spirit Squirrel Skin is a high quality full skin of a fox squirrel with moderately fine hairs that are ideal for fly tying nymphs and wet and dry Trout flies.

The hairs on the squirrel skin are an all-round good substitute for hare and the fur includes short, durable hairs that create a desirable spiky effect for fly patterns. The hairs are most popularly used as dubbing material and can also be used to create hackle for flies.

The soft and fine texture of the natural grey coloured fur presents a natural image in the water that is highly attractive to fish and create a life like appearance on flies.

Examples of flies that use Squirrel Skin fur in their patterns is the Red Fox Squirrel Hair Nymph, the Squirrel & Blue JC and the White Squirrel Muddler.

The Nature's Spirit Squirrel Skin will supply you with a huge amount of squirrel hair for fly tying and the skin is approximately 35cm in length and 11cm in width.
