Major Craft Solpara SPX

The Major Craft Solpara SPX is the ultimate rod for LRF anglers using ultra light tackle to target a range of species, in freshwater or salt. The Solpara offers anglers a quality rod finished to Major Craft's usual high standard with an affordable price tag.

These rods are built around an extra fast action, lightweight blank, which balances perfectly with light tackle and lures, offering unparalleled sensitivity and feel when working micro lures. The extra fast action enables anglers to work lures and set hooks easily but the light casting weight means the rod bends easily when a fish is hooked, giving maximum enjoyment when a fish is hooked.

We offer the Solpara in two different tip options, a solid tip or tubular tip, both the same length and casting weight but suited for different fishing techniques and styles.

The solid tip offers a softer, more sensitive tip to detect the subtlest of takes and is designed for fishing with soft plastic lures, either on jig heads or dropshot rigs etc., to get maximum action out of the lure. The solid tip loads up nicely when a fish takes the lure and is white in colour to further highlight bites.

The tubular tip features an anti tangle tip ring and is designed for fishing metal or hard lures. The tubular tip feels stiffer than the solid tip, which gives the required backbone to cast metal lures maximum distance and work them through the water. Bites register as a "knock" which transmits down the blank to the angler allowing them to react and set the hook quickly.

The rod is finished with Fuji guides - the butt guide funnels the line off the reel nicely and the low profile guides along the rest of the blank help reduce line wraps and tangles. A quality Fuji reel seat and EVA abbreviated grips finish the rod off and make it comfortable and enjoyable to fish with.

The black blank is complimented by blue highlights above the handle and gold accents and is supplied in an eye catching blue and yellow rod bag. Only the solid tip features a white tip.
