The advantage of CHIRP sonar is that you are able to mark fish clearly when you are travelling at high boat speeds and makes it easier for you to identify between bait and game fish targets. It also provides better identification of targets when you are at greater depths.

Like the other fishfinders in the Elite series, the Elite-7 CHIRP features a highly accurate built in GPS antenna and allows you to create your own map from real sonar data that you record with Insight Genesis.
