The upgraded Humminbird HELIX 5 Sonar GPS Fishfinder includes all the best features of the HELIX5 and now encompassing a powerful and precision GPS receiver. This accurate, built in GPS system allows you to easily find your destination and go back to a favourite fishing spot, time and time again.

This fishfinder has a stunning 256 colour display with a back light and a wide, 5 inch screen. View and watch the sonar data presented to you in ultra clear, high quality and enjoy the Precision Internal GPS Chartplotting. This HELIX 5 is also supplied with a built in UniMap cartography with a micro SD card slot for optional maps or for saving waypoints.

The built in GPS is incredibly accurate with a Waypoint Management system that let’s you save and manage your important waypoints. You can organise saved locations in a variety of ways and it allows you to arrange waypoints alphabetically, buy nearest location or by most recently saved. You can even arrange them by a specific name, by species if you found a certain kind of fish in that location, date or structure. You are also able to pick from a selection of new icons, including “species specific” symbols such as bass and walleye to identify waypoints at a glance.

Additional features also include the powerful, DualBeam Plus sonar for intricate detail of your underwater surroundings. DualBeam Plus let’s you choose between two width settings when you are searching underwater. You may use the narrow beam for high accuracy returns and bottom and use the wide beam setting for when you want a larger search area.

You can also see your sonar data in two different display modes with the SwitchFire sonar feature. You have the choice between either the Clear or Max mode to add or remove detail, account for water depth, temperature, turbulence and experiment with lure presentations.

The HELIX 5 Sonar GPS additionally feature a Micro SD card slot which you can use for advanced cartography, saving screenshots, sonar recordings and waypoints or to update your units software.

The depth range of this fishfinder is a massive 1500ft and includes a separate XNT 9 20 T transducer which you attach onto the bottom of your boat. This transducer rotates at a 20/60 degree with built in temperature and a 20ft cable. Built with an improved running angle, this transducer also has an optional lock down screw to override any kick up and is much more secure, especially in high, forceful waves.
