Hareline Plain Lead Eyes

The Hareline Plain Lead Eyes can be used in many versatile ways for fly tying Pike flies, Saltwater flies and large Trout lures.

These lead eyes are front heavy so will produce a ducking and diving action when you slack and tighten your line. These eyes are primarily used to create eyes on your flies and you can even paint them a colour of your choice and add pupils to give a realistic eye effect.

You can also use them purely for their weight and then cover them up using materials from the rest of your fly pattern. Another popular way to use the lead eyes is to tie them on upside down with the hook point upwards. This will help reduce the risk of your fly snagging the ground at the bottom of the water.
