Hardy Ultralite MTX

A bench mark in fly reel design, the Hardy Ultralite MTX has a hybrid carbon fibre and alloy main frame construction for a stunning look and unbelievably tough performance. The Ultralite MTX was also the winner of the Best Fly Reel award at Efttex 2017.

This fly reel, as the name would suggest, has a very light weight design that feels amazing in the hands yet has a strong and durable construction for long lasting use. The carbon fibre disc drag system offers impeccably smooth and controlled performance and it has a 340 degree colour coded regulator.

The colour coded 340 degree disc drag allows you for fully set your drag to your fishing requirements using the knob. The coloured dots indicate the settings between a heavy drag (red coloured dots) or a light drag (green coloured dots) and lets you see where your drag is set without interrupting your fishing.

The reel has a high line capacity construction, allowing you to easily fit more backing on and it has a captive spool release. Simply unscrew the cap, remove the spool and replace with a new one and screw back down to secure into place.
