Greys GR80 Streamflex Plus Fly Rod

The Greys GR80 Streamflex Plus is another brand new addition to the Streamflex series. With the same innovative and supreme design as the Streamflex, the Plus model includes an extended handle which improves the versatility and adaptability of the rod.

The extra handle section allows you to change to the action you desire. Therefore, you can use the fast action style or a use a medium to fast action without the inconvenience of changing both your reel and line. Additionally, both action styles will provide you with an incredibly high performing rod and impeccable adaptability on the river which is capable of dealing with the majority of fly fishing situations. The rod will suit all different kinds of fishing from dry fly to heavy nymphing.

Like the rest of the GR80 fly rod range, this rod also includes the innovative 3M Powerlux technology. This technology resin is infused into the high sheer modulus carbon construction creating a blank that is 60% stiffer than common epoxy resin blanks. This will allow the resin to atone for one of the primary weaknesses of carbon fibre composites which is their somewhat low compression strength. This results in strength improvements of up to 30% over standard fibre technology.

Further benefits of this innovative technology is the lightweight, refined actions along with enhanced strength and impact resistance for increased longevity. Additional features include a high quality cork handle for a comfortable yet firm grip and the handle is a reverse half wells style with an extension.

There are rod alignment dots to easily and quickly piece your rod together and a hook keeper ring to wind your line in tight when walking from one section of the bank to the next.
