Description / Flybox Micro Wire
The Flybox Micro Wire is an ultra low diameter copper wire (0.09mm) which is approximately 15% thinner than the lowest diameter wires on the market, yet it is remarkably strong. The majority of manufacturers offer medium and small wires, whereas this wire is even finer and is available in a fantastic range of colours!
This wire is great for ribbing smaller flies or for protecting a herl body on a pattern such as daiwl bach or cormorant. In addition to that, this material is ideal for dry flies when you don’t want too heavy a wire rib which may impede the floatation.
Furthermore, this wire is strong for its diameter and is best suited for trout flies.
