Description / Daiwa Black Widow Deadbait
The Daiwa Black Widow Deadbait rods are one of Daiwa's entry-level dead bait rod. Built on premium grade carbon blanks for enhanced strength and performance, the premium carbon provides you with a lightweight and responsive blank, allowing effortless casting of heavy leads and dead baits. The handle is made from quality cork and features an EVA rear grip for maximum comfort and grip during the cast - ideal when your hands are either wet or covered in fish slime.
The EVA grips are also low maintenance and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. There are stainless steel frame guides and lightweight LS rings fitted throughout, providing that durability and adding to the lightweight properties that you would expect from a pike rod.
There are three models in the range, a 10ft, an 11ft and a 12ft. The 10ft is a boat rod with a 4lb test curve and is designed specially for anglers who like to fish afloat. It features a powerful action to handle the hardest fighting pike.
The 11ft has a 2.75lb test curve rating the 12ft is rated with a 3lb test curve. Both of these rods come with a progressive action that is featured in most high-end pike rods. This action stops hook pulls when bullying fish in at close quarters but also stops the hooks tearing through baits on the cast.
We recommend the 3lb test curve rod as a general purpose pike rod, that will cover most pike fishing applications. The 2.75 test curve rod is more suited to short to medium range work. The 4lb test curve boat rod gives you the ability to use bigger baits or leads in conjunction with your float ledger rig and it also provides you enough backbone to bully specimen sized fish and keep them away from anchor ropes during the fight.
The Daiwa Black Widow Deadbaitt has a stealth black colour and each rod is supplied with a cloth bag. You can select your choice of model from our drop down menu.
