These Veniard Coot Wings have beautifully natural feathers all varying in length that are an excellent substitute for Moorhen which can be difficult to source at times. These feathers are generally used for tying wet and dry Trout patterns.
The feathers are most commonly used for spider patterns on Trout flies and they are the perfect feather to create wing cases on nymphs.
Common flies with the Coot Wing feathers are the Greenwells Glory, it can be a substitute for the Iron Blue Spider hackle and a great substitute for the Moorhen & Gold fly.
