Akios Creed GP420

Introducing the extremely popular Akios Creed GP420, the ultimate shore fishing rod for the angler looking to easily tame the largest of fish and make long distance casts whilst still retaining incredible amounts of sensitivity and feel.

This rod has been developed, extensively tested and finely tuned over an 18 month period whilst being thoroughly put through its paces throughout the design process to ensure these rods would be up to any task. Designed by some of the UK’s most revered big fish anglers Gareth Griffiths and ex international angler Jay Pickup, these rods offer incredibly high performance and are perfect for the specimen hunter!

The Creed GP420 has been designed to be a real powerhouse allowing you to cast larger baits and leads long distances and being able to tame the largest of fish without having too heavy a setup that takes away the enjoyment. The design team at Akios understood anglers were looking for extra power but still wanted to have excellent bite registration and feel through the blank, so the Creed GP420 was born!

Produced from a high modulus carbon blank which is incredibly powerful yet extremely lightweight, keeping the overall weight of the setup down, making for a more enjoyable fishing session. Under moderate compression these blanks display a J-curve action which reveals the blanks vast reserves of power in the butt and mid zones. These rods feature a super sensitive hi visibility white carbon tip which provides excellent bite registration and a super fast recovery allowing you to detect even the most subtle of bites. The super fast recovery also provides you with incredibly smooth casting, even under heavy loads.

Featuring Fuji anti-tangle Gunsmoke KWAG alconite guides that allow your line to run freely and smoothly through the guides while also allowing for the use of both a multiplier or fixed spool reel option on the rod.

The 25mm butt section features a Japanese shrink rubber finish which provides you with plenty of grip even with cold/wet hands. Featuring a Fuji sliding screw lock reel seat which will securely hold your chosen reel in place. The reel seat features EVA collars which prevent any particle ingress from negatively impacting the performance.

Each section features metal banded reinforced spigots for added strength and shrink wrap joints which will allow you to easily separate the rod sections and the end of each session.

The Creed also comes supplied with an Akios carbon 25mm reducer of approximately 1ft 2" in length allowing the angler to increase the overall length of the rod to 15ft if they desire. The addition of the reducer also offers more options in terms of reel positioning when casting or during the fight of specimen sized fish.

The Akios Creed GP420 is the perfect rod for taming large tope and skate from the shore and also makes a great rod for fishing over heavy ground for winter cod whilst the sensitive tip and extra power allow you make long casts for smaller fish on clean ground such as plaice.

The Akios Creed GP420 is 13ft10 in length, has a casting weight of 4-8oz and comes supplied with its own protective heavy duty 320d nylon partitioned rod case with a shoulder strap for the ultimate protection when storing or on the move.
