I haven’t tested this yet full disclosure. On first inspection feels very light and strong, with a medium tip feel. Reel seems smooth and comfortable to use. I will be spooling up this weekend ready for a trip on the 22nd so hope to see what it’s like with a bass on the other end of the line.

honestly its a great rod, bought it as the rod i have is a boat rod and is quite heavy for the regular spinning from the doc. its light even though its 9 ft, the reel itself feels quite stiff to reel in but that might be due to me putting on a 0.28 braid on it, not sure. over all, i enjoy fishing with it, you can cast far if you get the right lure weights, you cant really cast far with lures below 20g so i try stick with heavier ones, but i find it quite awkward to cast bigger realistic baits but then again, they are over the 40g recommendation so it is what it is. great starter rod, durable, light, comfortable to hold. just need to catch something with it as i didnt so far!!
