THE STORE

The Angling Centre Stirling is a family run, father and son business partnership – set up in 1999. Martin, the father of the team, retired from the construction industry and, with the support of his son Chris, stepped into the fast moving and exciting world of retail.

Initially serving the local community with their tackle needs, the 2000sq ft open plan, self-service store with extensive free car parking/outside casting area has quickly progressed to being regarded as one of the leading tackle shops in the country. A wealth of knowledge is held within our staff, whether it is game, predator, coarse or sea angling.

Due to our central location, the store has become a tackle destination for anglers through out Scotland. A travelling angler increasingly finds an excuse to pass through Stirling and visit the Angling Centre. Stirling is gateway to the Trossach’s and Highland waters, in it’s self is an ideal location for an angling holiday with a vast choice of fishing available. (Local permits sold)

THE STAFF

Chris and Martin take huge pride and responsibility to reinvest into our sport with competition sponsorship, nation team sponsorship and youth development. Martin, a qualified level 2 coach, is chair to the committee that manages the Scottish International Youth Fly Fishing Team and sits on the board of SANA (Scottish Anglers National Association), the governing body of game angling in Scotland.

Chris holds the prestigious S.G.A.I.C instructor certificate and their respective licensed qualification gives an insight into the level of professionalism that is a focus within the store. All of the staff will endeavour to help with guidance on tackle selection or solving a tackle / fishing problem.

THE SITE

Angling Centre Stirling’s online superstore “Angling Active” aims to give you the ultimate online shopping experience. Throughout the site you will find detailed and descriptive product information, high quality zoom-able images and easy to navigate categories, each chosen to represent a specific style of fishing.

Our site contains over a thousand unique products at launch and is constantly expanding. We have integrated multimedia into our site and product descriptions wherever this is appropriate, not just because we can but we feel it enriches your experience and can widen your knowledge of the products and fishing in general.

Unlike some online retailers If a product is listed on our site then we aim to keep it available at all times. The only exception to this rule would be during busy times or when our suppliers are out of stock. Should you order from us and we find the product is not in stock for whatever reason, we will contact you by email and either offer an alternative product, the chance to wait on the product returning to stock or of course the option of a refund on that item.

The review system is the best way for you to stay informed of a products true value, quality and usefulness. We would encourage you to write reviews for any products you may already own or have purchased from us. This community driven feature really is key to everyone’s shopping experience. Finally “Ask Bob” also offers a unique information resource to our customers. In here you will find videos, write ups and Q&A sessions that try to bridge the gap between newcomers to our sport and the experts.
