Description / Veniard CDC Oil

The Veniard CDC Oil is a floatant designed specifically for use on dry flies with CDC feathers. Adding this oil to your flies gives them better buoyancy, protection and makes your CDC Dries float higher for longer.

This CDC oil can be used to keep your flies afloat and it will also help to protect them from fish slime. To use, simply add a drop straight onto your fly or you can add a drop onto your index finger. Then rub with your thumb and gently stroke the fly through your fingers to add the oil.

This oil is designed for use specifically on CDC flies and is the best one to use. Other kinds of floatants for flies could potentially damage the CDC feathers and reduce their natural buoyancy.

The Veniard CDC Oil is supplied in a handy dispenser with a nozzle for easy application and a cap to seal it shut.

Ideal for dry flies
Provides buoyancy/floatation
Will protect flies from fish slime

Tried oil on Friday night when.CDC`S were getting pulled under too quickly. They stayed on top for ages and when given a short tug popped up again for a short spell. It was easy to apply and the feathers didn't stick. There was a few small rings around the fly on the first cast but I might have put too much on.Tried it with Hoppers as well and itworked fine
