Description / Shimano Sustain Spinning Reel
The Sustain FL is one of Shimano’s flagship models, offering a high quality powerful and reliable reel suitable for freshwater and saltwater applications.
This reel is built with Shimano’s KGN Hagane body material which eliminates body flexing and produces a much stiffer body, allowing the angler's direct actions to be transformed into more cranking power.
The MGL Magnumlite Rotor is 25% lighter and requires 22% less inertia increasing sensitivity and allowing for ease of a stop start retrieve, ideal for fishing lures.
Fitted with KGN Hagane Gearing at the heart of the reel, this delivers long lasting smoothness strength and power. With S A-RB bearings fitted, this allows for an incredibly smooth rotation and shields on both sides to limit the possibility of salt or sand inhibiting the bearings rotation.
With X- protect technology, this provides a high level water resistance through the use of specially designed water channelling construction and a waterproof coating.
The G-FREE body technology allows for the centre of gravity to be shifted close to the rod reducing fatigue and enhancing casting comfort.
The reel also includes the incorporated Propulsion Line Management System on the new lip design which is sure to help the user achieve longer casting distances whilst preventing wind knots and backlashes from forming.
