Description / Shimano Baitrunner X-Aero RA
The Shimano Baitrunner X-Aero RA is a reel that is super-smooth, reliable and built to last. This Baitrunner is convenient and functional with the most amazing casting performance.
The X-Aero reduces friction caused by the spool by using a unique and innovative Aero Concept spool. This is larger in diameter than a normal sized spool and help gives excellent casting performance. Another advantage to a larger spool is that one turn of the handle will allow you to retrieve nearly 1 metre of line giving you a much faster retrieval distance.
With Aero Wrap II, Shimano's top line lay system, combined with the 2-speed oscillation helps give you a pretty much perfect spool line management. To make life easier, there is also a spool guard in place to help prevent your line getting tangled and wrapped around the spool spindle if it goes slack. There is also a line clip on the XGT-7 rotor that is line friendly to prevent line damage.
This light-weight reel will feel rock solid when connected to the reel seat on your rod and with the gunmetal cold forged aluminium spool, this reel has incredible strength.
The Baitrunner X-Aero has a black satin finish and the hybrid body is a combination of aluminium and XT7, making this Baitrunner extremely durable and hard-wearing.
Both the 8000 and 10000 sized reels now have a single handle which generates more winding power than the double handle which is still fitted to the smaller 6000 model.
Now, with the addition of the Aero Concept spool, a single handle in the larger sizes and a satin black finish, the Shimano Baitrunner X-Aero RA is set to continue to be a favourite for many years.
