Shimano Baitrunner DL RB

The Shimano Baitrunner DL RB is available in two different sizes to choose from. This reel is from the ever popular Shimano Baitrunner series and has upgraded design components to produce an outstanding, high quality reel.

The DL still offers an affordable baitrunner option and boasts increased product technologies over the ST. Lets highlight the key differences between the two models.

Firstly, there is the increased ball bearings and there is also a spare spool included. In addition to that, the reel features the floating shaft 2 technology. The key friction area on most fixed spool reels is where the spool drive shaft meets the pinion. Shimano designers have overcome this by reducing a large percentage of surface area contact, and incorporating bearings on either side of the shaft. The resultant design leaves the shaft in a "floating" position, considerably improving efficiency and longevity.

The cosmetic details feature an ultra sleek black coloured frame and body with white typography and striking gold type featured on the spool. The frame is built from Shimano's XT-7 compound that creates a strong, durable and light weight frame. The spool is crafted from cold forged aluminium to increase and provide immense strength and power.

The settings on the free spool system create a versatile reel that can create no resistance for predator fishing or strong resistance when you come across any big fish. The Varispeed mechanism gives excellent parallel line lay, improved line control and combined with the AR-C spool, this reel will help to effortlessly perform more precise casts.

Both the 6000 and 10000 models feature a double handle and are supplied with a spare spool and instruction manual. The 6000 is ideally suited to small lake or river fishing and the 10000 is an ideal choice if you are using heavier lines to achieve longer casting ranges.
