The Oracle Spey Double Handed Fly Rod from Shakespeare has nothing more than quality, performance and value to offer from its traditional action in the extensive Oracle range. This through action offers curve from butt, middle, through to tip. The Spey range includes 4 lengths and respective weights.
If you are looking to upgrade from an older heavy salmon rod without looking to spend a good deal of money and without being completely out of your comfort zone due to a differing action then this is the rod for you. The Shakespeare Oracle Spey Fly Rod has a high quality, double handed AAA cork handle with a double locking reel seat for extra security. The rod is supplied with it's very own black cordura tube with a zipped top and lined divider to separate each section of your rod. The tube also includes an adjustable carry strap.

5 oracle spey 14ft

was looking for a 14 ft er and came across one on angling active's site, didnt know they had a new model of it,on reading the specs it sounded a nice looking rod and the action was meant to be a bit beefed up on the new blanks which have the matt unfinished look and brown/bronze whippings, the price was right the added bonus of one of angling active's spey lines free with the rod sealed it,the rod and line combo is perfect putting out a line with very little effort the corks would put other rods to shame as do the whole look and finish of the rod,my only niggle is the reel fitting only takes the "modern" types of reel feet, but anyone wanting a 14 ft rod and line that will cover any occasion go for the oracle and the 9/10 line you wont be dissapointed

5 Why pay any more?

A superb rod, especially at this price. I have spent a lot more for rods that have performed no better than the Oracle Spey. It makes me wonder why pay for a 'premium' rod when this is so nice to fish with, and not worry about knocking it about a bit. I know many 'tackle tarts' who've swallowed their pride and added one of these to their armoury. Angling Active's first class service I now take for granted.
