The Savage Gear Black Savage Drop Shot Rod has the same iconic following as the rest of the Black Savage range. The Black Savage is finished with a stealthy matte black rod blank and an urban camo EVA reel seat.

What makes this rod so unique is its rod blank, Built on a Japanese ‘Toray’ blank, the rod packs a tonne of power whilst still maintaining that finesse sensitivity required form a drop shot rod.

The rod has plenty backbone to tame even the biggest of surprise captures but the elegance to make the smallest of drop shot lures dance frantically under the rod tip. The EVA handle is very very robust and easily maintained whilst providing a comfortable grip in the toughest of fishing conditions.

Savage Gear’s Coil Control Guide system is designed to accommodate modern PE braids resulting in a system that produces precise long-distance casting and efficient line management.

The high visibility rod tip provides the perfect visual indicator, allowing you to see and feel everything through the rod blank itself. This sixth sense will allow you to feel progressing and sensitive takes a lot quicker.

The rod features a bait holder just above the rod handle which is perfect for housing your dropshot hook during transportation.
