Salmo Frisky

The Salmo Frisky is a floating, hard body lure that has a jointed design and an amazing slow rise action during retrieve pauses that is great for use on still waters, rivers and streams.

This Frisky lure has a broken back design that gives it an incredible swimming action through the water and has a polycarbonate lip at the front. The lure is a floating, shallow runner type and is built from superior quality materials for long lasting use.

There are several ways to effectively fish with this lure and the slow rise during pauses on the retrieve works great when casting both downstream and upstream. You can also obtain the same effect by fishing across the current with occasional pauses during the retrieve.

Salmo themselves recommend that with this kind of retrieve pattern you should do two or three turns with the reel, a pause, a twitch with the rod tip whilst using the reel to prevent line falling slack, then repeat.

You can also vary the retrieve speed with frequent pauses and perform gentle twitching with the rod tip on lakes and reservoirs. You can also use the Frisky for trolling at various speeds and at bigger depths using an additional weight.
