The Sage R8 range has been crafted from the latest material to be developed by Sage’s expert in house design team, the all new revolutionary R8 Core technology creates a more efficient blank resulting in enhanced casting performance and a more connected feel.

This is achieved by a greater fibre surface area which results in less resin being used, creating a much more responsive blank maximising the feedback given to the angler whilst casting allowing you to feel when power needs to be applied during the cast or when playing a fish giving you, the angler, complete control.

With the new R8 Core technology each rod blank is now an optimal circular shape making them more durable and efficient compared to the original technologies that have been used which produced a compressed blank resulting in less feel and loss in power.

This rod is fitted with high quality hard chromed snake guides and tip top and Fuji ceramic stripper guide, allowing your line to run freely and smoothly resulting in higher line speed which improves casting distance.

Fitted with a snub nose half wells cork handle and an anodised up locking reel seat with a sustainable Ziricote wood insert. This rod is finished in an aesthetically pleasing retro grey finish with retro grey thread wraps with white and blue trims.

The Sage R8 Fly Rod is at the leading edge of fly rod design and feature a 4 piece construction. Each rod is supplied in its own black cloth rod bag and a white aluminium rod tube. This rod is available in a 9ft #5 model only.
