About the Sage Method Fly Rod
You didn't become an expert caster just to say you did. And you didn't do it overnight, either. You practised, fished hard, and got better because you wanted to catch more fish, more often. You paid your dues, and you met the fish on their own terms, which meant getting the fly out to places they felt the safest: out of the range of merely average casts. Fast action rods have always been a part of your success, and the new METHOD gives you more of what you love most. Like our fastest line speeds to punch through the wind and to carry the biggest, bulkiest, heaviest flies in your box out to where they can strut their stuff.

Konnetic™ technology is an extremely advanced process; Sage married the best aerospace-grade materials they could find with all new manufacturing methods and processes. The most difficult of those processes is the Advanced Modulus Positioning System (AMPS), that precisely aligns the bundles of high modulus carbon fibers along the taper of the blank for ultimate strength and straight tracking during casting. The blank’s dramatically smaller diameter and lighter weight is realized by compacting carbon fibers and proprietary resins using High Compression Molding (HCM) process, simultaneously fusing the 50% lighter all-carbon fiber inner core.

About the Sage 2200 Series Fly Reel
The Sage 2200 Series Fly Reel is a hard fighting, large arbor reel with a spectacular aesthetic design and uses state-of-the-art manufacturing for maximum strength. The 2200 Series reels feature the 2250 and the 2280 models, both are designed primarily for Trout fly fishing.

These superior fly reels are hard-fighting, constructed from a machined, aluminium die cast frame and a large arbor design for increased retrieve rate. The large arbor also reduces line coiling and makes casting much easier with fewer tangles. The generous concave spool surface shape further enhances the strength and capacity of each reel.

The 2200 series use a high-grade carbon disc drag for ultra smooth, stable and consistent performance. The drag is controlled by a fully machined, one revolution drag knob that includes a numerical and dented setting to adjust as you wish. You can easily and quickly choose your drag setting depending upon your fishing scenario.

You can also easily change and remove the spool using the unique, reliable and simple yet O-Ring system. To remove the spool, place your index fingers on the inside of the rear spool and your thumbs close to the centre, through the reel frame. Press firmly and evenly with your thumbs to release the spool from the O-Ring.

To reinstall the spool, you simply slide the spool down over the frame hub and apply a small amount of drag. Slide the spool onto the housing until it comes to rest on the O-Ring and press down until you feel the spool slide over the O-Ring and click into position. Remove the drag pressure and turn the spool a couple of times to ensure that it is properly seated.

Each reel is fitted with a machined aluminium handle with an ergonomic design for comfort and ease of use. You can also easily convert your choice of reel from left to right hand wind if you like.

The Sage 2200 Series Fly Reel is supplied with a neoprene and embroidered, ballistic nylon reel case and is available either Black/Blaze or a Black/Platinum colour.
