Ron Thompson Centre Pin Reel

The Ron Thompson Centre Pin Reel is a free running, die cast reel that is used for trotting on rivers. This reel is a great starter centre pin reel and offers excellent value for money.

If you are in Scotland, this reel is the perfect choice for fishing for Winter Grayling and the smooth free spool action gives your bait and float excellent presentation in the water. This is because the free running feature allows your float to move with the speed of the water and the speed can be controlled using your thumb. Simply apply pressure to the rim and this will give you control of the turning speed.

This reel has a 110mm diameter and the large arbor works well when you are long trotting with a float due to the quick line retrieve. The reel has machined holes throughout to make the reel light in weight whilst still maintaining it's strength and durability.

The Ron Thompson Centre Pin Reel is designed with a one way drag and also features a ratchet drag. This reel is brown in colour and features dual handles for perfect balance.
