These tips allow anglers using Skagit lines to cover every likely fishing situation and conditions encountered, and are the absolute ultimate in sinking tip versatility. Sold individually these MOW tips feature a front and back welded loop for easy attachment to your line.
About the medium tips
The Medium MOW Tips feature T-11, with a sink rate of 8" per second, for the sinking material. Each of these tips has either a light green floating section or a green sleeve on one end for easy identification. The Medium MOW Tips are designed for heavily weighted flies and are ideal for Skagit lines between 475 and 575 grains. There are six unique tips that make up the series.
About the heavy tips
The Heavy MOW Tips feature T-14, with a sink rate of 9" per second, for the sinking material. Each of these tips has either a light blue floating section or a blue sleeve on one end for easy identification. For me these are the best options for skagit tips at least for most fishing situations. Across the range of tips in a particular weight, they all balance the set up consistently even where the sink tip is short. Simple and pretty much idiot-proof.

RIO's Skagit system is the best one if you don't have time to cut lines and tips. AA helped balance the line to the rod I have and that's worked really well. I've then bought tips as I've needed them. With a dodgy back, I've found casting heavy tubes in late autumn and spring a lot easier. Then change to a shooting head for late spring. Great lines and tips.
