RIO 2 Tone Gel Spun Backing

The RIO 2 Tone Gel Spun Backing is ultra strong, super thin, GSP (Gel Spun Polyethylene) backing with zero stretch. This is the ultimate backing for strength and reliability.

This gel spun backing is now available in a new two tone colour that is metered every 50 yards with a colour change from a Salmon pink to yellow. This colour difference will help give you a visual reference to determine how far a long running fish has travelled and how much line there is to be retrieved.

Gel spun backing is ideal for anglers who need more backing than their reel can normally hold and those needing the extra security of 50lbs breaking strain backing. With a zero stretch, this backing cuts through water with little resistance.

This universal backing is appropriate for any rod/reel size and equally suited for all species; from trout to tarpon. The low diameter of the backing allows you to increase your backing capacity by more than 50% when compared with regular Dacron backing.
