Description / Penn Rampage Boat Rod
A range of three boat rods covering the 12/20lb, 20/30lb and 30/50lb classes.
Built using a special mix of 24-ton carbon, these 4 piece, lightweight, slim diameter blanks feature a modern fast taper action with supple tip, but with power feeding in quickly through the mid section into a stiff butt for maximum pressure to be applied when reaching their full compression curve.
They are fitted with Fuji O rings, an EVA fore grip and aluminium reel seat. The 4-piece construction makes for easy transportation.
Also available is a 20/30lb class rod designed specifically for braid. This comes in the proven long tip, short butt format to maximise blank action, and sports a supple tip and upper mid-section, but with power progressively coming in from the mid-section in to a stiff butt to give real lifting power.
The supple tip compensates for the non-stretch qualities of braid and protects potentially light hook holds when fighting fish up from depth.
