Orvis Hydros Trout Fly Line

The Orvis Hydros Trout Fly Line is able to be used in a variety of fishing conditions due to it’s excellent versatility and includes Integrated Slickness for maximum casting distance and durability.

This fly line has an innovative weight forward taper combined with slightly larger line diameter that is ideal for use at close to medium range but still capable of delivering at a distance. With a longer head than traditional weight forward lines this gives better line management and the larger diameter improves handling, floatation and mending without affecting casting performance.

The braided monofilament core, gives the line durability and consistent high performance qualities over a wide range of conditions. The Integrated Slickness additive is woven throughout the PVC layer to provide lubrication for maximum distance, performance and durability.

The line is fitted with a strong, front welded loop to make leader attachment quick and easy and helps transfer energy more efficiently to the leader, allowing for a better turnover. Each line is designed with an Orvis line identification system so you can easily identify the type of line and this includes the taper, weight, and functionality.

The Orvis Hydros Trout Fly Line is a dual, yellow and olive colour to help you determine the ideal loading point when casting. This line is available in a range of weights that you can select from our drop down menu.
