Orvis Helios 3 Fly Rod

The Orvis Helios 3 Fly Rod is the new frontier rod delivering anglers with phenomenal accuracy and a purpose driven design. Available in two models to cover a wide range of fishing applications, the 3F stands for feel for accuracy and responsiveness whilst the 3D, standing for distance, provides accuracy with power at distance.

In comparison to the Helios 2, the range of Helios 3 rods are much stronger and feel incredibly lightweight in the hand. The Helios 3 has a new taper design along with a new layered graphite process in the blank for high durability and performance.

The 3F fly rod provides dry fly anglers with phenomenal accuracy and finesse and offers a classic feel with a traditional action. The 3F is the perfect rod for short to medium distances, out to about 60 feet. This rod is designed to let you feel every subtle change throughout the cast.

The 3D provides exceptional accuracy but with enhanced power, giving you the ability to place a fly where you want it at distance. This rod works well in high winds, higher line speeds and with big flies. Great choice for using big streamer flies with sinking lines.

Throughout, the Helios 3 rods are built with premium quality components, including REC recoil snake guides and Sic/titanium stripping guides. The reel seat is a type III anodised aluminium Midnight black with a Matte Storm carbon insert.

The Orvis Helios 3 Fly Rod is available in a 3D or 3F version for you to choose from. Each rod is supplied in its own aluminium rod tube.
