Okuma Proton

The Okuma Proton fixed spool reel has a high corrosion resistant construction for handling tough saltwater environments and offers premium performance and value for money.

This spinning reel has a corrosion resistant graphite body and rotor with a corrosion resistant stainless steel bail wire and a machined aluminium two-toned anodised spool. The reel is designed with a Precision Elliptical Gearing System that creates less friction during casting for increased distance, greater accuracy, and longer line life, as well as smoother drag pressures.

The reel also has a RESSII: Rotor Equalizing System that gives the reel precision balance and helps eliminate spool wobble. There are 3BB+1RB ball bearings with a quick set anti-reverse bearing and has multi-disc Japanese oiled felt drag washers.

The Okuma Proton fixed spool reel is available in various models for you to choose from and is supplied pre-spooled with 120m 0.19mm quality braid.
