Review by David
Bought this to get me back into fishing as a cheap portable stress-free rod that I wouldn't worry about losing or breaking. As it happens I did neither: I now own three of them and regularly use them as my main rods. They are superb.

Coupled with a cheap lightweight reel you have a travel setup that you don't have to worry about losing or breaking. This rod is tough enough to stand up to regular use and being able to pull it out of the bag and flick it into position all set up with your rig attached means you can spend more time fishing and exploring than faffing about setting up.

I've used it in rivers trotting for brown trout, catching huge carp, feathering for mackerel bringing in 6 in one cast, and caught dogfish and flatties from the seabed.

The compromise is that they are not the most sensitive rods so they don't really give you much sport for smaller fish. However if you load them within their casting range, or a little bit over, they cast really well.

Can't really get any better value for money in fishing in my opinion.
