Minn Kota MKP-30 Sacrificial Anode Replacement

The Minn Kota MKP-30 Sacrificial Anode Replacement is a metal replacement part found in the prop hub area of an outboard motor. This is used to stop galvanic corrosion damaging your outboard.

Any metal parts in salt water that are electronically or physically connected will create a current and the electrons created in that are given up in the form of metal ions to the saltwater. This is called galvanic corrosion and if not taken care of it can destroy the metal and then in turn, damage your outboard.

The sacrificial anode becomes an addition to the electron circuit and extends protection against galvanic corrosion to your outboard by giving up its electrons quicker than other metal parts. This means it will eliminate corrosion of other metallic components on the outboard.

The Minn Kota MKP-30 Sacrificial Anode Replacement is balanced and attaches quickly and easily to prop hub. This anode will fit 3-1/4" and 3-5/8" diameter lower units.
