The Mackenzie Competition Spey Line is designed to produce phenomenal casting distance, presentation and all round performance. These lines have been specially designed by two of the most successful Spey casters of all time, former Spey casting World Champion’s Scott Mackenzie and Andrew Toft.
This competition line features a new and extra supple coating that allows the line to bite down when you cast and help on the forward delivery, giving you tighter loops. This coating highly benefits the line as it helps it to retain it's shape when you are casting the line out. The line's ability to hold it's shape and the coating, makes it's power more enhanced and concentrated which allows the line to travel and punch out much farther.
When you are casting, the concentration of power focuses all the speed through the line and gives the line full energy during the cast. This creates an improved presentation and exceptional turn over at distance. You'll find you'll have perfect control with this line and find it much easier, and faster to cast as well due to the unique tapering system.
The line has an integrated head on the running line, with a head length of either 72ft or 92ft. These lengths are perfectly balanced but if you like, you can easily trim the length of the head to suit you and your rod if required.
The 72ft head is suitable for most 15ft and 16ft rods in the 10/11 weight class. The 92ft is ideally suited to 17ft and 18ft rods.
The Mackenzie Competition Spey Line is bright orange in colour, casts effortlessly and achieves exceptional distances. You can choose from a 72ft or a 92ft head length from our drop down menu.
