When an item is marked as "In Stock" on Angling Active you can be confident we have the item available, ready to ship. Our website is linked to our store room using the latest computer controlled stock system, showing you our live stock availability - 24 hours a day.

What does each availability option mean?

Real Time Availability: In stock
This item is in stock and ready for immediate dispatch.

Real Time Availability: On Demand
This item is requested from our supplier once your order is received. Your order will be dispatched within 10 working days. If there is a problem with stock availability from the supplier we will contact you by email or telephone. We do not take payment until the order is ready to be dispatched.

Real Time Availability: Out of Stock
We are currently sold out of this item and do not have an expected arrival date. Please contact us to discuss it's availability or alternative options that may be of interest.

What if my order has a mix of "in stock" and "brought in to order" products?

Where an order contains multiple items we will hold the complete order until the rest of the items arrive. This means you can expect your complete order to arrive as one complete delivery, but delivery will be delayed until the brought in to order items arrive. If you need some of the items urgently, simply let us know by email and we can dispatch your order in multiple parts. Alternatively you can place two individual orders, keeping your "brought in to order" products separate from your "in stock" products to prevent delays.

Are any items not stock controlled?

Due to the complexities of stock checking our comprehensive range of flies, we cannot include these in our live stock system. If we find that a fly is not available during the picking process, we will contact you immediately to discuss your options. In many cases we can offer an alternative, but if this isn't suitable then we can remove this item from your order. To prevent this situation from occurring we usually hold large quantities of each common pattern, so you can still buy your flies from us, safe in the knowledge your order will arrive.

What happens if things go wrong?

Even with the best of systems errors can still occur, especially during periods of high sales volumes. As a rule we do not send incomplete orders without you agreeing to this first as we realise this can be frustrating when you expect a full order to arrive. Should we find that an item is not available that we expected to have, we will attempt to contact you immediately by both telephone and email. In most cases we can offer you a similar item, or an upgraded item should nothing similar be available. If this doesn't suit you, we can of course miss this item out and ship the rest of your order. No need for a refund either as we don't take payment until your order has been picked, packed and is ready to ship.
