Korda Dark Matter Helicopter Leader

A helicopter leader set up is perfect for presenting rigs over weedy or choddy bottoms. This Korda Dark Matter Heli leader set up allows the lead to plummet into a debris ridden lake bed but still allowing your hookbait to be visible and increase your overall presentation. The Heli Leader is more aerodynamic than a traditional lead clip set up and are the perfect rig for fishing and presenting at long range.

The leader is made from high quality, durable plastic with fused loops on each end. The plastic is super supple allowing it to hug the contours of the lakebed making it less visible to wary fish and with its low memory characteristics it will allow it to lie straight and flat on the lakebed. There are two bands of super heavy tungsten along the length of the leader ensuring it sinks down out of the way this eliminates any possibility of spooking wary fish due to a high sitting and visible leader.

The leader is 1m in length and 30lb breaking strain and is best connected to the mainline with a loop to loop connection. The leader is complete with a korda kwik change clip on the end for quickly and easily attaching a lead and a rubber sleeve to push over the top keeping it super neat!

This leader is perfect for fishing with a chod or stiff hinge rig or the hugely popular boom spinner rig.

The helicopter system is made up from Korda’s chod safety system featuring their hugely popular no-trace beads!

These chod set ups with the no-trace beads have revolutionised helicopter rigs making them safer than ever before! By having a slot in the top hard bead it stays in place on the top sleeve when fishing but in the event of a crack off or the line breaking when playing a fish the bead easily pops off the top sleeve and can fall off the leader, thanks to the slot, without having to slide all the way to the end of the line! This means there very little chance of a fish being left trailing a whole leader set up and lead around.

The leaders is supplied with a size 8 ring swivel and the chod system pre-fitted so all you have to do is attach a lead and a rig to the swivel and it’s ready to fish. The leaders colour had been carefully chosen by Korda after their extensive underwater filming to blend in perfectly over most lake beds.

In the event that you lose the no-trace bead from the leader, it is supplied with two spare beads! This rig is best fished without a PVA bag on the hook as this can knock the no-trace bead off when it impacts the water
