Veniard Jungle Cock Substitute

The Jungle Cock Substitute feathers are imitation feathers of the Grey Junglefowl bird. This bird is very rare and can be difficult to source, so Veniard has provided a fantastic alternative with these high quality, top grade substitute feathers. These feathers are mainly used for Trout and Salmon fly tying.

The feathers are commonly used on Trout flies as cheeks to give the appearance that the fly has an 'eye'. They are also used often on Salmon flies in pairs near the head and on the throat.

Common flies with the Jungle cock feathers are the Cascade JC Double, Royal Dunkeld JC and Jungle Bunny JC.

These feathers come in three different sizes Small, Medium and Large.

The Jungle Cock Substitute feathers are approximately 3cm in Length.
