The HELIX 7 delivers high quality, 8 bit colour display to present your sonar and GPS data on screen. With a wide, 7 inch screen and a built in back light, you’ll view your data in superior quality and make the most of the built in GPS system, facilitated with a micro SD card slot for optional maps or for saving waypoints.

The Precision GPS is built into the device and features a Waypoint Management system that let’s you save and organise your important waypoints. You can save your waypoints in numerous ways such as alphabetically, buy nearest location, by most recently saved, by a specific name, by species, date or even structure. With a wide selection of new icons to choose from, you can use these to identify waypoints at a glance. As an example you could select “species specific” symbols such as bass and walleye to identify the species you found most at your waypoint spot.

For enhanced sonar data, the DualBeam Plus sonar delivers beautiful and sophisticated structures from under the water. The DualBeam let’s you choose from a narrow or wide angle view, depending on which kind of setting you would like for the area you are in. The narrow beam works best for when you would like high accuracy returns and bottom and the wide beam setting is best for when you want a larger search area.

Along with DualBeam sonar, the HELIX 7 also features SwitchFire sonar you can take charge of how you would like your sonar data to be presented to you. Built with two different display modes, Clear or Max, you can use these to add or remove detail, account for water depth, temperature, turbulence and experiment with lure presentations.

With the Micro SD card slot located on the fishfinder, you can use a Micro SD card for advanced cartography, saving screen shots, sonar recordings and your waypoints as well. You can also use this to update your units software. As for fitting your device, it is supplied with a XNT 9 20 T transducer which you attach onto the bottom of your boat. The transducer is able to rotate at a 20/60 degree and has a built in measure of temperature and a 20ft cable. Built with an improved running angle, this transducer also has an optional lock down screw to override any kick up and is much more secure, especially in high, forceful waves.

All of this sonar and GPS data will be displayed to you on a brilliant 800H x 480V, 7inch, 8-bit colour display with a back light for superior viewing.
